Another area of mild disappointment was the hot tub. We definately prefer the wave pool at Castaway bay over the lazy river at Great Wolf. The lazy river was a big disappointment to us because I guess we were expecting it to be much longer and a have a little more current. Check-in was very quick and easy, staff was friendly, no complaints. The rooms at Great Wolf are nicer than Castaway Bay but I must agree with a previous review that the bathrooms in the family suite are the smallest I have ever seen in my entire life! It served it's purpose but when you have little ones that may need help in the bathroom, it is very difficult to fit two people in there. Although our stay was OK we decided that we much prefer Castaway Bay. Our group included two 30 something parents, a 15 year old, 13 year old and a 6 year old. But on a positive note, the tube slides are a blast! (My husband and I were moving so fast around one of the turns that we flew out of. There were also no lounge chairs at Great Wolf, only upright seating so you could not lay back and relax like you can at Castaway Bay. The hot tub at Great Wolf was not very warm, did not have much jacuzzi action and did not go outside (another reason we prefer Castaway Bay).
